Worklists are one of CCR's more useful features. Each night, CCR performs a search of relevant EDW records looking for both patients that have received diagnoses that indicate that they might need to be added to your cancer group and for encounters, lab test results and other records related to patients already assigned to your cancer group. Those records which meet your cancer group's search criteria will appear in your worklist, giving you the opportunity to select those that you want to be added to your cancer group's database and importing whatever data can actually be automatically brought in from the EDW (although you will still need to enter some of this data manually). This helps to assure that potential records of interest to your cancer group are not missed.

Worklists also play a role in data entry quality assurance efforts. Users who actually perform quality assurance checks for your cancer group go to their worklists to find the list of randomly selected records to examine. Then, if errors are found and corrections need to be made, these comments are sent back to the worklist of the person who originally entered the data so that they can actually perform the correction and learn from their mistakes at the same time.
