Test result data can be imported from the UUHSC EDW database. Most of the time, this will be done within the Worklist module as a part of the normal process of checking potentially useful EDW records for adding to CCR — see New Data for Existing Cancer Group Patients. However, when working with a patient record, you can also view the list of test records associated with the patient in the UUHSC database and import the data for any of those test result records into that patient record.

To import test result data from the UUHSC database into a patient record:

1. Open the patient detail record for the patient in question. See Viewing/Editing a Patient Record for instructions on how to do this.

2. Select the Labs tab.

3. Click on the + button above the Tests grid on that tab. The Add Test Result window will open.

4. Select the Import UUHSC Lab Test(s) tab.

5. Click on the test that you want to import from the grid on that tab. The selected test will be highlighted in yellow. For more information about working with this grid, see The Import UUHSC Lab Test(s) Tab (Add Test Result Window).

You can select multiple tests to import at the same time by holding down the CTRL button and clicking on each test.

6. Click on the Import Selected as Lab Test button at the bottom right side of the window. The selected lab test(s) results data will be imported into the patient record and will be removed from the grid. The window will remain open.

7. If you want to import other tests from the grid, repeat steps 5 and 6 until all of the tests you want to import have been imported.

8. Click Cancel to close the window once you have imported all of the tests that you want to import. The Add Test Result window will close.

You should double-check the imported lab test records in the Tests grid. Some information you want recorded may need to be entered by hand rather than imported.
