This process is for removing specimens that were added manually (not automatically through itBioPath) to CCR. Usually, specimens that need to be removed that are linked to itBioPath specimens actually need to be unlinked from the patient in itBioPath, not in CCR.

To remove a specimen from a patient record:

Open the patient detail record for the patient in question. See Viewing/Editing a Patient Record for instructions on how to do this.

Select the Labs tab.

Click on the specimen that you want to remove in the Specimens grid on that tab. The selected row will be highlighted in yellow.

Click on the — button above the grid. The row will be removed from the grid. If the selected specimen has been manually linked to an itBioPath record — see Linking a Specimen from itBioPath to a Patient Record — this link will be broken.
