The Treatment Summary grid on the Radiation Therapy tab of the Medical Event Detail window is for recording summaries of each sequence of radiation therapy that the patient receives. Radiation therapy medical events are unique in that each treatment within a sequence might, by itself, be considered a single medical event, but it is much more useful to treat the overall course, which in fact might include more than one sequence of treatments, as a single unit. This is how radiation therapy medical events are handled in CCR, each prescribed course as a single medical event. Each sequence of treatments within the course, then, is represented by a single row in the Treatment Summary grid.
