Since a patient's itBioPath specimens are automatically imported into CCR, it is not necessary to link a specimen to itBioPath. If a specimen has been entered manually into CCR, then that specimen gets added to itBioPath, a duplicate record will appear in CCR. At that point, it is simply a matter of deleting the specimen that was entered manually. It does not contain any information that will not appear automatically in the specimen that was imported from itBioPath.
