To add a consent type to a study:

1. Open the Edit Study window for the study in question. See Editing a Study for instructions on how to do this.

2. Click on the + button above the Consent Types grid on that tab.

The Add / Edit Consent Type window will open.

3. Enter the kind of consent in the Consent Type text field on the window.

4. Click on the Save button to save the new consent type. The Add / Edit Consent Type window will close, and the new consent type will be added to the Consent Types grid.

To close the Add / Edit Consent Type window without adding a consent type to the study, click the Cancel button instead of the Save button.

If you have entered any data on the window, a dialog will ask you to verify that you want to close the window without actually adding a consent type to the study. Click Yes to clear the dialog and finish closing the window or No to return to the Add / Edit Consent Type window and finish adding the consent type.

As soon as you start entering data on the Add / Edit Consent Type window, the text on the Save button will turn bold red, indicating the need to click on the button to save your work.
