To remove a lab test result from a medical event:

Open the Medical Event Detail window for the medical event in question. See Viewing/Editing a Medical Event for instructions on how to do this.

Select the Details tab.

Click on the lab test result that you want to remove from the current medical event in the Tests grid on that tab. The selected row will be highlighted in yellow.

Click on the — button above the grid.

A dialog will open asking you if you want to remove the test result from the patient record as well.

If you want to delete the lab test result from the patient record entirely, click Yes. If you just want to remove the association between the lab test result and the medical event and want the lab test result to continue to appear as part of the patient record, click No. Just remove from Medical Event. The dialog will close and the selected lab test result will be removed from the Tests grid on the Medical Event Detail window. If you clicked Yes, the lab test result will also be removed from the Tests grid on the Labs tab of the patient detail window for the patient with whom the medical event is associated.

If you change your mind and do not want to remove the lab test result from the medical event record at all, click on the X (close) button in the upper right corner of the dialog and the dialog will close without any changes occurring in the database.
