Most changes to an aliquot, such as reduced available amounts due to disbursement, will be handled automatically. If a disbursement is entered in error, when the disbursement is deleted, the correct amounts will be returned to the appropriate aliquots. However, if there is a need to manually edit the information in an aliquot (such as a data entry error), this is possible. To edit an aliquot:

  1. Open the specimen record for the specimen stored in the aliquot you would like to edit. See Editing Specimen Records for instructions on how to do this.
  2. Select the Aliquots/Projects tab.

  1. Expand the aliquot group that the aliquot you would like to edit belongs to by clicking on the blue triangle on the left side of that aliquot group. Each of the aliquots that belong to that aliquot group will be displayed on individual rows.

  1. Double-click on the specific aliquot that you would like to edit. The Aliquot Detail window will open.

  1. Make any changes that need to be made to the aliquot record on the window.
  2. ClickScreen Shot 2015-05-21 at 3.35.58 PMin the lower right corner of the window to save the changes and close the Aliquot Detail window. The changes will be reflected both in the row of the specific aliquot that was edited. The totals for the entire aliquot group will adjust if the changes made any affect to the group values.
