To view and edit a specimen record:

• Find the specimen record that you want to view/edit — see Performing a Basic Search.
• If the specimen window for that specimen is not already visible, open the specimen record by double-clicking on that specimen in the search results list.

Depending on the type of specimen you are working with, different fields may appear on the specimen window. If you change which collection or patient a specimen belongs to, those changes will also affect any child or parent specimens associated by transformation.

• Click on the Save button in the lower right corner of the specimen window or hit Ctrl+S to save the changes you have made to the specimen record.
