By linking a diagnosis to a collection, the diagnosis information will appear on the collection window for that collection event. The diagnosis information also appears on the specimen window for all specimens from that collection. Each collection may only be linked to one diagnosis, but a diagnosis may be linked to several collections. This topic describes the process of establishing the link from the diagnosis side.   • Open the Edit Diagnosis window by double-clicking on the diagnosis in the list of Diagnoses on the Diagnoses tab of the Patient window.

Alternatively, click Screen Shot 2015-06-02 at 1.53.48 PM next to the diagnosis selection field on the Collection window of a collection, the diagnosis is already linked to while that diagnosis is selected.

  • In the Collections to Link list, check the box on the left of the collection(s) that should be linked to the current diagnosis. Collections may only be linked to one diagnosis at a time.
