Deleting an aliquot record from a specimen should be a rare action reserved for situations where the aliquot record should not have been entered in the first place. Users should not delete an aliquot record that has been depleted. To delete an aliquot from a specimen record:

  • Open the specimen record for the specimen stored in the aliquot you would like to delete. See Editing Specimen Records for instructions on how to do this.
  • Select the Aliquots/Projects tab.

  • Expand the aliquot group that the aliquot you would like to delete belongs to by clicking on the blue triangle on the left side of that aliquot group. Each of the aliquots that belong to that aliquot group will be displayed on individual rows.
