To grant a user permissions relative to specimens collected under a protocol or registered with a project:

  • Select Administration > Permissions in the application menu. The Permissions window will open.

  • To assign permissions for a protocol, select the Protocol tab. To assign permissions relative to a Project, select the Project tab.

  • Double-click the protocol or project to be marked inactive in the list that appears on that tab. The detail window for that protocol or project will open.

  • If the user in question already has permissions relative to the protocol or project, double-click that user in the Permissions list on the detail window. To add the user to the project or protocol, clickScreen Shot 2015-05-21 at 11.02.08 AM (1)above the Permissions list. In either case, the Project Permissions window will open.

  • Fill in the appropriate fields on the window to assign the needed permissions to the user in question.

  • When adding permissions to a user that already had permissions relative to the protocol or project, the User Name field will contain the user’s name and will not be editable. When adding a new user to the protocol or project, it is required to select a user in that field.
