By linking a collection to a diagnosis, the diagnosis information will appear on the collection window for that collection event. The diagnosis information will also appear on the specimen window for all specimens from that collection. Each collection may only be linked to one diagnosis, but a diagnosis may be linked to several collections. This topic describes the process of establishing the link from the collection record. To establish this link from the diagnosis itself — see Linking an Existing Diagnosis to One or More Collections. To link a collection to a diagnosis:

  • Open the Collection window for the collection to link to the diagnosis — see Editing Collection Records for instructions on opening the Collection window.
  • Select the appropriate diagnosis in the dropdown field at the top of the Diagnosis area of the Collection window.
