After disbursing a batch of specimens the specimens may not be shipped immediately. In such cases, a shipment record will need to be created separate from recording the disbursement. To create a shipment record for an existing disbursement:

  • Open the Search Shipment window by selecting Edit-Specimen Shipment from the application menu.

  • Enter the Batch ID for the batch that has already been disbursed in the Batch ID field.

  • ClickScreen Shot 2015-05-27 at 10.09.56 AM. The Shipment Detail window will open, populated with the disbursed aliquots from the previously entered batch disbursement.

  • Enter the appropriate shipping information on the Shipment Detail window.

  • ClickScreen Shot 2015-05-19 at 2.21.48 PMto close the Shipment Detail window. As the shipping status changes and other changes occur, you will be able to return to the shipment record to record those changes
