The following is a list of keyboard shortcuts that may be used when working with itBioPath:
General Application/Browser functions:
- F11 — Toggle between full-screen view and the standard browser window.
Window functions:
- Ctrl+S — Saves the contents of the current window (works only if there is a Save button on the window).
- Esc — Closes the current window.
- Check the menus on each window for additional context-specific keystroke commands.
Field/Tab Navigation on a window:
- Tab — Move to the next field on the window.
- Shift+Tab — Move to the previous field on the window.
- Ctrl+Tab — Move to the next tab on the window.
- Ctrl+Shift+Tab — Move to the previous tab on the window.
Date Fields:
- Ctrl+; — Enter today’s date in the selected date field.
- Ctrl++ — Change the date in the selected date field to one day later than the date currently showing.
- Ctrl+- — Change the date in the selected date field to one day earlier than the date currently showing.
Combo Box Fields:
- (Type ahead text)+Enter/Tab — Drop downs allow you to begin to type in the value that you want to select, moving down the selection list automatically until you find the value you’re looking for. Hit Enter or Tab to actually select that value.
- (Up/Down Arrows)+Enter/Tab — You should be able to move your selection cursor up and down in a combo box drop down list until you find the value you need using the up and down arrows on the keyboard, then hit Enter or Tab to actually select that value in the field.

- Ctrl+6 — Opens the diagnosis window for the diagnosis that is linked to the collection event that is associated with the currently active window.
- Ctrl+7 — Opens the UUMC database records for the patient associated with the currently active window.
- Ctrl+8 — Opens the UUMC pathology records for the patient associated with the currently active window.
- Ctrl+9 — Opens the Tumor Registry records for the patient associated with the currently active window.
- Ctrl+S — Saves the contents of the current window (works only if there is a Save button on the window).
- Ctrl+Alt+2 — Initiates the process for changing which patient the specimen from the currently active specimen window is associated with.
- Ctrl+Alt+3 — Initiates the process for changing which collection the specimen from the currently active specimen window is associated with.
- Ctrl+Alt+D — Duplicates the specimen record from the currently active specimen window.
- Ctrl+Shift+Tab — Move to the previous tab on the window.
- Ctrl+Tab — Move to the next tab on the window.
- Ctrl+W — Close the browser window (and therefore the application).
- Esc — Closes the current window.

- Shift+F5 — Refreshes the current window with the most recent saved data from the database.
- Shift+Tab — Move to the previous field on the window.
- Tab — Move to the next field on the window.
