Each experiment type that can be requested in GNomEx is represented by a price sheet in the billing and pricing module. The addition of a new experiment type obviously involves more than the simple creation of a new price sheet and requires programming by research informatics. However, the creation of a price sheet, itself — once the new experiment type has been created — is not a difficult process.

To create a new price sheet for billing:

1. Click on the Manage billing button in the Administration section of the application home page or the Billing button from among the buttons at the top of the window.

The billing window will appear.

2. Select the Prices tab in the pane on the left side of the window.

3. Click on the New sheet button on the lower left side of the window.

The Price Sheet window will open.

4. Fill in the fields on the window as appropriate including a Name for the new price sheet, some Notes if applicable, and the experiment type(s) the price sheet applies to — see Setting/Changing the Experiment Type(s) Associated With a Price Sheet. The Active box should be checked in order for the new price sheet to actually be used in billing.
