The format results interface allows for control of grouping and summation of selected fields in query results. Results may be aggregated by any number and combination of fields. At least one field must be selected, since the only results that will ever be displayed for your query will be in the form of aggregation of values in the selected fields, not a list of individual records from the resulting cohort.
The first field in the list will be displayed along the x axis — representing a coarse grouping or the first level of totals among the cohort. Each additional field provides a more detailed break-down of the first field results and are arranged along the y axis in a nested tree structure.
